Each of the first four sections are given a score out of 900, adding up to a maximum possible score of 3600 (something never before achieved). So you must be wondering, what score do I need to get in? In the past, anything above 3000 was considered a competitive score. But in the last few years, we've seen cut-off scores increasing. Ultimately, it's not about your score, only what percentile of students you're in. In 2021 a score of 3150 was in the 97th percentile - definitely high enough to get an interview (when interview cut-offs were still around the 3000 mark) and very competitive for entrance into provisional medical programs. That being said, usually interview cut-offs lie at around the 92nd or 93rd percentile of that cohort, with rural applicant cut-offs being some few hundred points lower. Although you find out about your score on the day of the exam (via email a few hours after you finish), percentile scores can only be officially calculated online in mid-August.
